Kevin Nolan to Newcastle Utd

Newcastle United have completed the £4m signing of Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan.

The Trotters accepted a bid from their Premier League rivals yesterday and the player travelled to the north-east to discuss personal terms and have a medical on Friday.
Nolan made 323 appearances for Bolton following his debut in 1999 and will immediately fill a hole left by Joey Barton, who has been ruled out for 10 weeks with a broken foot.
Nolan has joined the Tyneside outfit for a fee of £4 million, and has signed a long-term four and a half year deal.

Craig Bellamy now City player

Craig Bellamy insists Manchester City's ambitions were a major factor in his decision to move to Eastlands.

Wales captain Bellamy, 29, completed his move from West Ham for a fee thought to be in the region of £14m.

"There are so many things happening here that are out of this world, for me to be part of it was an offer that I could not walk away from," he said.

Bellamy said the presence of boss Mark Hughes, who he worked under at Blackburn, also influenced his move.

Wigan manager Steve Bruce has confirmed a deal to sell midfielder Wilson Palacios to Tottenham has been "virtually agreed".The deal is believed to be worth around £14million.
Bruce admitted that if Palacios was to leave it would be a tremendous bit of business by Wigan, who signed the player for around £1 million 12 months ago.
