Patrice Evra suspend four match

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has been banned for four matches and fined £15,000 for his part in a fracas at Stamford Bridge last season.

Evra's punishment was announced after a two-day hearing FA in London, eight months after the altercation on the pitch with Chelsea groundsman Sam Bethell after United's 2-1 defeat.

A regulatory commission found Evra guilty of improper conduct after he clashed with Chelsea groundsman Sam Bethell when a fracas broke out as Manchester United players warmed down after losing 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in April.

The commission found that Evra pushed the Chelsea head groundsman with his chest, then struck Bethell on the side of the head and, after the incident had begun to calm down, subsequently ran back to confront Bethell and became involved in a further physical altercation.
