Walcott, who dislocated his shoulder in training on Tuesday, is unlikely to play for Arsenal for the next four months, according to Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who confirmed that surgery had been carried out on the injury.
The winger had surgery today on his right shoulder which he dislocated in a heavy fall while away on England duty in Berlin. But Wenger is adamant he bears no grudges towards the FA and the thought of compensation has not even crossed his mind.
He said: “It was an accident, the sort of thing that could have happened here. We will not change our policy of sending players for internationals. We never withdraw any player unless they have a serious injury.
