Today we are going to visit Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Alayam at Kalpakkam in Kancheepuram Dist. of Tamilnadu. Kalpakam is situated in the East Coast of Bay of Bengal & around 70kms from Chennai. All the buses plying towards Pondichery (pondy) cross this town which is famous for Nuclear Power Plant & Research Centre in India.



Sai Baba Temple has been constructed near to the temple of village Goddess Nagavalli Amman. The devotees from Mahathi Satsang of this area gather here on Friday's to chant Lalitha Sahastranamam & Vishnu Sahastranamam.



Smt. Anantha Lakshmi Kameswaran, Active member in this Satsang had proposed to install Sai Baba's statue in this area and she brought the idol of Sai Baba and kept it in her house for 2 years and performed all Puja, Aarthi's & ceremonies in her home.



Later on this temple for Sai Baba was constructed and Sai Baba's Prana prathistha ceremony was performed on 17th October, 2010. A Marble Statue of around 3ft height has been installed in this temple. Statue of Nandi Facing Baba has been installed in the temple premises. Sanctums for Gansha, Dattatreya, Sri Rama & Nagavalli Amman have been build around the temple premises.



All the 4 Aarthi's and Daily Puja's to Sai Baba are performed regularly. Annasantarpan/ Distribution of Prasad to Devotees are performed on every Thursdays.



On every 3rd Sunday Sri Satya Sai Bhajan is held here. Sai Devotees from Anupuram a nearby village and those employed in the Nuclear Plant perform ceremonies and functions in Traditional way.
